Mr. Alfred Corey

1937-2008

     Long-time Gracie South member Eddie Abdeen's father [and Corey's grandfather] passed away this past Sunday, October 5th.  Mr. Alfred Corey had been fighting lung cancer; however he died as a result of a blood clot to his heart.  Mr. Corey's funeral arrangements have been made in Meridian at the Barham Family Funeral Home for Wednesday, October 10.  Visitation is 10 am to 11:30 am with the funeral starting at 11:30 am.  The number for the funeral home is 601.693.8482. 

     Eddie and Corey Abdeen have been vital members of Gracie South since the beginning.  Corey is an excellent MMA fighter always representing Gracie South well in addition to teaching Jiu Jitsu at Ole Miss where he is a 4.0 pre-med student.  Eddie is priceless to Gracie South with both his coaching and training skills as well as his tremendous legal services to our fine school.  You won't find two friendlier people, always willing to help anyone at anytime.  Our condolences go out to Eddie and Corey with the passing of Mr. Alfred Corey.
